Hello Everyone!
Ace is doing amazing and gaining weight. I rescued him on July 18th, it has only been 8 days since his rescue and the change is pretty dramatic! Here is a photo of him taken on the 19th a day after being rescued.
This is a photo taken yesterday on the 25th. As you can see Ace is doing absolutely amazing! It makes me so happy to see him gaining strength every day. He is still very skinny, but I’m very happy with his progress in just 8 days!
Yesterday the vet was out for Ace’s check up. Ace was such a good boy for his vet check. The vet couldn’t find anything wrong with him other then needing his teeth floated (dental work) and the vet said he should make a full recovery. Ace was a very good boy when the vet gave him a shot of sedation medicine.
During the dental work the vet found a hook on one of his teeth that was making it hard for Ace to eat. The vet said that Ace will have a much easier time eating now.
I want to thank everyone for your support and your kind words of encouragement, being an animal rescuer is probably one of the hardest jobs, I’m so thankful for your support that makes rescuing and rehabbing horses like Ace possible!
It will be exciting to see what Ace will look like in another week!
