The gate is up!
Friday was a very busy day for us. Tawnee had to go into town and get supplies for the horses, stuff for the fencing and the gate. While Tawnee was in town Jason showed some horses to a potential adopter. Tawnee got back to the ranch at 12:15 pm and was not there for more […]
Happy Thanksgiving!
We, the staff of NER, wish to give you a special thanksgiving thanks for all the help, support and encouragement we have been given this year. Often we wondered where the next load of hay would come from, but we are thankful that we have been able to make the huge impact on the horse […]
A day on the computer

More Fencing and Adoption Pending
Today Jason started developing rashes from Poison Oak. So, to exact revenge, he got his chainsaw out and chopped about 700′ of fence line through the brush. When a job has to be done, it has to be done. Deal with the consequences later. He fully expects to develop immunity to poison oak this summer […]
No More Mud!
Our 4 stall mare motel got a new floor today! Now the horses will have a nice mud free place this winter. It took 14 yards of cement. It was a lot of hard work, but thanks to some of our volunteers it made it a little easier. Everyone had a job they could do.
A Vet Visit For Mac and Spike.
Today Mac and Spike would to the vet for X-rays of their Hooves. Spike’s hooves are really long and the trimmer needed an idea how far she could go on them. Spike went home with the trimmer so she can take her time with him and get those hooves happy again. Mac had some lameness and […]
10 More Acres!
There was a vacant 10 acres that borders our main 10-acre facility here in Oroville and we just got about a 2-year grazing lease on it! We are planning on fencing it with electric rope ASAP.
