We are so excited to have new roofs for all of the horse shelters. I picked them up early Sunday morning. Mason and Anthony brought all the panels over to each shelter. As you may have missed in the blog, we had horrible winds destroy many roof panels at the shelter. If you missed that blog, click here.

It was a lot of heavy lifting but they made it look so fun and easy. They had to walk a few over because the grounds are still pretty soft in some areas.

The boys would help get the roofs on top of the shelters and Matt made sure they were all fastened down. They had a good process and soon the damaged panels were all replaced.

While the guys were busy roofing, Tanya and I were busy with intakes. These two precious donkeys are a mom and son pair. They’re very attached to each other.

After the roofs were completed Anthony used the arena drag to help clear the rough spots in our large turn out for the horses. It also helps dry out the wet soil.

During the last week we’ve had an unknown critter knocking over feed cans and eating from them. We found the tracks near the feed cans, but don’t know for sure if it’s the culprit or not. Do you know who belongs to these paws?

Shari from our Oklahoma shelter went to auction last week and saved several mini donkeys. They aren’t as easy to adopt in Oklahoma but Shari was determined to save them.

I was so thrilled to learn that Shari is going to make a drive from Oklahoma to California so we can help get the donkeys into loving homes. Here’s Shari with one of the auction rescues.

We don’t have an exact date yet for arrival as they are all being checked out by the vet and making sure everyone is healthy and ready for transport. This will take a few days too work on as Shari also saved a group of horses the same night.
If you would like to adopt one of the mini donkeys you can still apply online now, click here.
As always thank you for your continued support.
