We have some very exciting news! We received an email informing us that there was an award waiting for us at the California State Capital building. We were very shocked by this news and wondered what the award would be. Jason and Tawnee headed to the Capital to pick up the award.
One of the State Senator’s wanted to recognize our good work for the horses in the state of California, and we were presented with the award in the Senate Chamber. It was such an honor, we all at Horse Plus work so hard day in and day out caring for the hundreds of horses that come through our shelter every year, and to be recognized by the State Senate was so amazing.
After receiving the award Tawnee posed in front of the Capital for this great picture. For our recent fans, Tawnee co-founded the organization when she was 19 years old, and that was 11 years ago.
It is such a beautiful award and we are so proud to be able to have this hanging in our office.
