Dixie is a 7 year old 14.2 hand Appy/Paint mix. She is friendly and easy to catch. She was green broke as a 3 year old, however, due to medical issues her owners were unable to continue her training. Since being surrendered, Dixie has completed a 30 day refresher course with our professional trainer. She is now a great trail horse crossing streams and going over logs. She is confident and likes to lead. She would also make a nice English flat horse now that she is starting to understand the concept of collection. Dixie is barefoot and stands well for the farrier. She is up to date on coggins and a healthy, easy keeper. She is friendly and easy to catch. She is best suited for an intermediate rider but has beginner potential.
Dixie is available for adoption as our Featured Horse. Featured Horses attract multiple adopters and the potential adopter that pledges an additional donation of the highest amount will be chosen as her adopter as long as Dixie is a good match with them and they are approved to adopt through our program.
Her adoption fee is $500.00. Pledges may be made until March 26th and 8:00pm CT. If the adopter with the highest pledge is not a good match for Dixie, the next highest pledge of a potential adopter will be contacted. Only the adopter will be bound to their pledge. The adopter’s pledge will be a tax deductible donation. The pledge and the adoption fee must be paid at time of adoption.
Potential adopters may schedule a time with our adoption specialist to come see Dixie to ensure they are a good match prior to making a pledge, if they wish. Potential adopters can schedule meeting Dixie from now until March 26th.
Transporting is available for $1 a mile round trip.
