Our volunteer shelter manager Larry suffered a heart attack Saturday afternoon and has been in the hospital ever since. Larry has been volunteering for years, and his help is extremely important.

Last time Larry was in the hospital it was for back surgery. He wouldn’t quit helping then either, he was more than happy to write emails from the comfort of his hospital bed.

Larry has a huge heart (that is in trouble) full of sympathy and love. Here Larry is giving some of that love and sympathy to Dano before his life slipped away.

Jason visited Larry in the hospital Monday and he is doing well all things considered. When Jason visited him, Larry had already recruited a volunteer from the patient next to him and got one of the nurses to become a 2011 monthly sponsor. You just can’t keep this guy down!
We asked you to send your thoughts to Larry, and here they are, we hope we got them all in. Feel free to comment at the bottom of this blog for Larry. We are sure he will read them.

You are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy and full recovery. This goes out to Larry, April, & family and hoping for a healthy, yet speedy recovery for Larry, I’m certain he will be very much missed at the shelter.
Heres a little something to lift your spirits. Little goat (aka: STARBUCKS) is doing GREAT!!! I’m inching him in with the others slowly as they do tend to butt him with force sometimes (they are a little bigger and older than him….but…do accept him otherwise, uno, they have a “pecking” order). Until he gets a little bigger, then he will be running with them. One of our llamas has especially taken a liking to him and sits by his pen all the time, it is very sweet and they ALL come running when he cries. He is the ONLY “baby” amongst everyone and he isn’t spoiled or anything!!! LOL
Take care and get better soon!:) ~Kimberley & Ray
