We know many of you have seen Macho Man in our blog over the years. He has brought so much joy and happiness to so many people as he has traveled all over California. He has been seen on multiple TV stations, newspapers, websites, and so much more. He has been such a part of our organization for so many years. He was frequently seen styling his little tennis shoes, and pretty much anyone that has been at the Horse Expo over the last few years remembers him well.
Friday Macho Man was rushed to the vet hospital as our shelter vet recommended. He was suffering from severe colic, and was in a lot of pain. Everyone was so worried about him. Multiple vets tried to help Macho Man, but in the end nothing could be done to save him. We had to say “Goodbye” to our precious little guy who was such a big part of our team. He was only 15 years old, but sadly colic can take the life of any horse at any age.
There is an empty spot at the shelter now, and the hearts of all our staff and volunteers are deeply saddened. Macho Man will always live in our hearts. He will never be forgotten.
