Tennesee Shelter Happenings

Good Evening,

I just wanted to give you an update on what has been happening at our TN Shelter.

We all have been working hard on the new facility, there is so much to do. Jason has been working on getting the barn built for the padded squeeze chute.

We have also been working on fencing. There is a open 300 foot section that runs along the paved road. I wanted to make sure we have a really good fence for that section so escape artist can’t get out into the road and get hit. Jonathan (our Horse Trainer), Darin (our CFO) and some other great people came out to help with the fencing. They got a lot done in one day and will be coming back again to do some more.

Jason got the barn roof on and sided and now the padded squeeze chute will stay dry. It’s not all done yet, but it is coming right along.

Last month one of the horses, Kali, we rescued from an auction was so weak and lifeless we didn’t know if she was going to make it.

I’m very happy to report that Kali is doing really good and is putting weight on and life is coming back into her eyes.  It makes me so happy to see an animal enjoying life again. It is always so hard seeing so many horrible things first hand, but helping animals come back from the horror they have endured makes it all worth it to me. Kali is such a pretty girl!

The new trailer should be arriving very soon now at our OK shelter and Shari is very excited about doing an up coming auction rescue with the new big trailer. I will keep you posted on that. 🙂

Thank you so much for all your support, both emotionally and financially!

Sincerely,
