We would like to thank the Drudge Report for featuring the CBS undercover story about horses at auctions.  This should bring huge awareness to the issues of horses being sold for slaughter to many people who would otherwise not ever hear about it.

We had 5 horses surrendered that needed to be picked up.  This big girl Scarlett is one of our adoptees who could no longer stay with her family due to financial hardship.

This is Tawnee riding her back in 2010.  As you can see she is a very big horse and is trained to ride.  Tawnee remembers that riding her was kind of like being on an elephant.

Once all 5 horses were in the trailer the door was shut and Jason headed back to the shelter.  They arrived shortly after dark and were unloaded and put in their waiting pen safely with nice yummy food and water.

Back at the shelter packages were arriving.  Debi purchased this beautiful microscope for the shelter which is going to be used a lot!

We also got some packages that said “Refrigerate upon arrival.”  That can only mean one thing: medicine.

A shipment of vaccines that was donated thanks to a very generous company.

Before long boxes after boxes were stacked neatly in the fridge.  This is the second shipment of vaccines we have received from them, and we can’t thank them enough for their generosity.

With the warm weather comes some amazing energy.  Judylynn was in the pasture and just had to pull her phone out when the youngsters started getting frisky.

We made a short video for you to enjoy of the youngsters running for sheer joy.  It is so cute!  To watch the video, click here.
