horse rescue

Thank you all so much for your extremely generous donations to our Auction Rescue Fund!

Thank you all so much for your extremely generous donations to our Auction Rescue Fund!  We raised enough funds to save horses at the California auction, but we haven’t yet raised enough for the Oklahoma slaughter auction rescue.  To donate to help with the auction rescue in Oklahoma, click here.

5 horses were rescued at our auction rescue in California.  More pictures and information coming very soon.

We would like you to meet our office kitty.  She really enjoys being cuddled.

Our turkeys needed a shot of penicillin.  They have some sores near their wings and the vet says penicillin will fix them right up.

We moved them to our bird friendly stall so they can heal in peace.

We had five mini studs surrendered.  Of course they will all be gelded soon.  This guy is Blue Eyes, he is 4 year old.

This cute little guy is Smokey Joe, he is 1 1/2 years old.

Max is this handsome boy’s name and he is 10 years old.

This is Zorro, he is 6 – 8 years old.

Mystery is 6 years old.  If you are interested in adopting any of these adorable minis, please contact us.

We had a trailer pull in the shelter.  We always wonder what is inside.

It was a big beautiful Thoroughbred mare being surrendered.

This is Annie she is 21 years old.  She does not have a tattoo, so she has never been raced. She is trained to ride, but can be a little pushy on the ground.

Kirsty still can’t ride due to rib injuries, so we had a volunteer ride Parcey around the shelter.  He is busy getting ready for his big outing to the Horse Expo.  To see watch a really neat video of Parcey riding on a trail ride, click here.

He had a nice new fly sheet put on so the fly’s wont bother him.

Kirsty was busy washing his blanket for the horse expo.

Everyone’s getting excited about the Horse Expo coming up the first weekend in June. Parcey will be there Friday June 5 and Sunday June 7.  Make sure you stop by and see us!

We had some very adorable donkeys surrendered.

This jack donkey is Waffles, he is halter trained.

This jenny donkey is Pancake, she is the youngest of the three, and is in the process of being halter trained.

This Jenny donkey is Oatmeal, she is halter trained.

Thank you all for your support of the auction fundraiser and our sheltering efforts!
