It is time to save some lives! On January 21st, 2012 horses will be sold at a local livestock auction. They will be sold to the highest bidder, the only restrictions is the ability to pay. The auction yard is has no restrictions that the horses go to a good home, or that they even go to a home at all… We know that killer buyers will be there with their big trailers ready to load up on horses and take them for the short drive out of state to be shipped on to slaughter.
We are going to be there to save horses from entering the slaughter pipeline, but we need your help. Our goal this month is to raise $5,000 to pay the ransom for 13-20 horses, depending on price, and bring them to our shelter. Our goal at this auction, as always, is to keep the price above current meat price, making the killer buyers leave with empty trailers. Please help us save lives!
