So important to have a vet look at each horse that we rescue

Our staff and volunteers were working hard cleaning our recovery room.

Kirsty was also busy gentle training Pony Boy.  He has gotten brave enough to touch her, and from there he will make great progress.

The recovery room came out absolutely sparkling.  Great job everyone!

We had some visitors come out and they really liked Phoenix.  He’s such a sweet boy.  We are always happy to introduce potential adopters to the horses that are waiting for their forever homes at the shelter.

Our vet came out to examine and get ages on the auction rescue horses.  It is so important to have a vet look at each horse that we rescue from auction to make sure they are doing OK.

Dexter was getting his one month check up on his nose.   He really wanted to know what his paper work said so Larry showed him.   He realized it wasn’t food and quickly lost interest.  He is such a character!

Tootsie was also getting her one month check up on her back.  The vet says she will need another two weeks before Kirsty can evaluate her riding abilities.  We are so happy for her progress!

Larry is always busy on vet days keeping all the records.  He is very talented at record keeping from his many years serving as a firefighter.

We had a colt come to get gelded in our gelding program.  He is such a cute little guy.

Buddy wasn’t sure he was happy with the whole operation, but we know that this simple procedure will help keep him happy for the rest of his life.  We are always happy when people get their colts gelded in our gelding program.

Thank you all so much for your support, both financial and emotional.  It really means a lot!
