Every month we rescue horses from auctions, usually at multiple auctions, saving them from slipping down the slaughter pipeline to Mexico or Canada, where they are cruelly butchered for human consumption. Shockingly, horse meat is even finding its way into the US food market, contaminating 5% of meat tested in California by Chapman University. To read the news story, click here.
