California is being hit hard with rain and wind, and it has absolutely devastated to our California shelter. The strong winds literally ripped the roofs off of many of the shelters. Now, horses are without a roof over their heads to protect them from the rain. It’s been extremely distressing for us as you know we work hard to take care of our horses and ensure they are safe. The horses were cold and dirty when we found them without a shelter, so we immediately got in contact with a Roofing Company to help us out.
The horses were moved to safety in another pen away from the debris, but as you can tell they are not happy about it, and we feel terrible for them. We desperately need to get the shelter roofs back on. The portable shelters are not covered by insurance, and we need your help to get them dry again and the shelters fixed. It’s going to cost approximately $2,000 to get the shelters fixed and a roof over the horses heads again. Please donate, even $5 will help a lot!
