Our adoption specialist, Kristen, at our Tennessee shelter has been very busy training horses and matching them up with potential adopters. All of her hard work and training horses is really starting to find a lot of horses in transition at the shelter new homes. All adopters have to go through an adoption application approval process and sign an adoption contract with a first right of refusal which states if they can no longer keep the horse it has to come back to us. Most of these adoptions have taken place in the last 2 weeks.
Tawnee, our founder, adopted one of the horses at the shelter. Her other horse is 26 years old and getting close to retirement. Tawnee is very happy to be adding Kahlua to her family.
Poppy was adopted to a very loving family. Both Kahlua and Poppy were rescued from an auction, and if we were not there to save them, most likely they would have been shipped to slaughter.
Eeyore and Olaf were adopted out of state and transported to their new home. They were adopted by a veterinarian! We are so happy they have such a wonderful home.
Freckles has found her forever family, and just look at those smiles. Freckles came to us as an owner surrender, her owner was no longer able to care for her. Freckles is 21 years old and we are so happy that she found such a wonderful home.
Chica was adopted as well. We rescued her from auction and now she has a great family.
Savannah was adopted by a very wonderful person out of state. She was moved by a transporter and we are very happy for her. We rescued her from an auction in Amish country, she used to be an Amish plow horse.
Simba found her forever home too. Her adopter has the same vet as our TN shelter and came highly recommended. We are so happy for Simba. She is a 21 year old Haflinger we rescued from auction.
Patches was rescued from auction and adopted. Her new mom is so excited and is just spoiling her.
Charlie was adopted out of state. His adopter drove hours to come get him, and arrived late at night. He spent the night at our gate, anxiously waiting to meet Charlie. We are so happy for them both.
Spirit was adopted to a super home. The family has adopted from us before and we are so happy that Spirit has such a great family.
Spirit’s family also adopted Dreamer, a 26 year old mare we rescued from auction. Her adopter is experienced and is going to finish rehabbing her. We are so happy for Spirit and Dreamer.
Willow, an older Quarterhorse mare, was adopted by a great family. We are so happy for her. We know she will be loved and cared for.
Bunny was adopted by a family who saw her on our Facebook page and absolutely fell in love with her. We are so excited for Bunny.

Most of the animals adopted in this blog were rescued from the slaughter pipeline. Many of you donate to help us save animals from that horrific fate, and we are so happy to share happy endings with you. Without you, each one of these animals would have a much different fate than being adopted into a great family.
