When we see horses at auction, we see a lot of hopelessness in their eyes. Some of these horses have gone from auction to auction through many different states on their way getting closer to the Mexican border. We see horses whose spirits have been broken. They have given up they just wait for the next gate to open up, they know they need to run through and if they don’t somebody will make sure they do. We know if we don’t step in to save them the last gate they will run through is into the slaughterhouse. Miika was at an auction last December scared and confused, hopeless with a broken spirit. Thanks to support from people like you we were able to rescue her, she went from hopeless to hopeful, you can see the spirit back in her eyes. Will you help us rescue horses just like Miika?
