Our rescue team is going to an auction tomorrow to rescue as many horses as we can. Horses are sold to the highest bidder. Kill buyers purchase horses to be killed at slaughterhouses in Mexico for human consumption. A kill buyer will pay about $0.50 a pound for a horse at auction.
