We just can’t thank each of you Horse Hero’s enough. We were able to rescue 12 amazing horses and this was only made possible by the generous donations of our wonderful supporters! We know we can’t save every horse but for every horse we rescue, it changes their world for the better. There were far fewer horses than normal at the auction this time, very likely due to the snowy and cold conditions we had recently had, but the 12 horses we rescued are so precious. With the horses we have helped rescue through our national Auction Rescue grant program so far this month we have pulled 19 horses from the slaughter pipeline in Tennessee, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Colorado!
We are going to catch a few hours of sleep and first thing tomorrow morning we will go get all the horses we have rescued and transport them to our shelter, where our vet and intake team will be waiting for the horses.
