I would like to say a huge thank you to each and every person who made tonight’s Rescue Mission possible. Tonight thanks to Horse Heroes like yourself we were able to save 22 horses!! This would not have been possible without YOU, so I just want to say a huge THANK YOU, thank you for doing the right thing to help make a difference in the lives of horses. Some of the horses we rescued tonight are in critical condition. One of them needed pain medication so he can be as comfortable as possible through the night. He is severely foundered and we are very worried about him.
In total, we spent nearly $12,000 just to purchase these horses tonight, the expensive part is the sheltering and rehabilitation. Across the nation kill buyers are paying up to $0.65 a pound for horses and that made the initial rescue cost more than usual. We are so thankful that these 22 horses are safe tonight.
