Our auction rescue team will be going to an auction next week on July 13. We want to rescue as many horses as we possibly can, and with your help and support, we can do just that, we hope to rescue 20 horses at this auction! When we go to the auction we see heartbreaking things. Horses who (like the one in this photo) are completely terrified. Fear fills their eyes and they look around frantically for a way of escape, but without you, there is none. The auction is stressful and full of commotion and they are left to wonder what will happen next. No horse deserves to be neglected, abused, and dumped at the auction with no concern for their future, no horse deserves to be brutally slaughtered. Will you be their hero and help save them from that horrible fate?
Depending on the size of the horse, it costs us up to 80 cents a pound which is driving our prices up to around $800 per horse at the auction. However, it costs us between $1,000-$1,500 per horse for the whole process of rescuing, medical care, quarantine, training, adoption into a new loving home, or if necessary, the Last Act of Kindness. We will rescue any horse we can that is within the slaughter price range, regardless of their condition, even if the kindest option for them is the Last Act of Kindness.
