Standing Up Against Cruelty
The episode opens with Tawnee heading to Shelbyville to protest big lick animal cruelty at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration. With Jason editing this very show, Tawnee stood strong alongside other advocates, calling out the abusive practice of applying burning chemicals and chains to horses’ legs to create an artificial gait.

Despite hecklers calling the truth a “big lie,” Tawnee’s experience rescuing sored horses tells a different story. She’s seen the chemical burns. She’s seen the pain. And she’s determined to keep speaking up.
A Kitten, a Bath, and a New Family
On the way home, the team spotted a tiny kitten alone on the road. After a gentle flea bath thanks to cat-loving Sarah, the little one melted hearts everywhere. Sarah and her family offered to foster him for the weekend, and it was clear very quickly that he had found his forever home.

Facebook followers chose the name Miles, but at home he quickly became “Biscuit” for his constant biscuit-making paws. Now, Biscuit Miles has a bright future with a loving family.
A Flood of Support: Amazon Wishlist Deliveries

Back at the shelter, Sarah helped unbox dozens of donated items from the Amazon Wishlist, including an enormous horse toy ball that had everyone laughing as it was inflated. These donations go straight to work improving the lives of rescued horses, and the team’s gratitude shines through every moment.

Compassion in Action: Medical Care, Hard Decisions, and New Beginnings
The vet visited the shelter to examine several auction horses whose Coggins tests did not match, ensuring they were healthy enough for quarantine and future adoption.

Some horses, however, faced far more serious conditions…
For each of these horses, the team made the compassionate choice to give them a peaceful and humane goodbye. These moments are always difficult, yet they are part of rescuing responsibly and honoring every horse with kindness and dignity.

Amid the hardships, the shelter was also filled with joy. Brave and Freedom began the journey to their new home in California through the rescue partner Grazing Grace. Adoption follow-ups showed many horses thriving with their families. One adopter even returned for another visit and fell in love with a once skinny and neglected horse, opening a new chapter for him. In total, thirty-nine horses and donkeys found homes during and after the adoption event..

Life at the ranch stayed busy and full of purpose. Every task reflects the dedication and heart that make these rescues possible.
A Final Glimpse of Hope
The episode closes with a simple but powerful image: horses rescued from auction, once terrified, now grazing peacefully under open skies. Side-by-side with their “before” photos, the difference is breathtaking.
