Building Better Lives From the Ground Up
Big improvements are underway as freshly poured concrete pads are completed beneath our horse shelters. In Tennessee’s heavy rains, dry footing isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. These new pads help keep hooves healthy, hay dry and horses comfortable while still allowing them space to roam freely.
Giving Tuesday Gratitude
Thanks to our incredible supporters, Giving Tuesday was a huge success, raising over $15,000 in one day! Behind the scenes, our team is hard at work transitioning to a new donor management system to better care for the growing community that makes this rescue possible.
Happily Ever Afters in the Making
This episode is full of adoption joy, with several horses finding their perfect matches. Moments like these remind us of the countless hours of care, training and dedication from our team and supporters. Every adoption is a celebration and a reminder of why this work matters!

Cassie, a sweet gaited mare, won hearts at her adoption appointment.
Forest, along with Cara, Bucky, and Red, all began their journeys to loving new homes across Kentucky and beyond.
New Arrivals & Second Chances
Two horses arrived safely from Indiana after their owners could no longer care for them. Others came to us after being stranded at a feedlot with nowhere else to go. As always, we said yes and our vet team stepped in to evaluate and care for each new arrival, including Marvel, who’s receiving treatment for a neck injury.
Training, Trust & Tiny Triumphs
From training evaluations with Moonshine to quiet bonding sessions with Shrek, a curious two-year-old donkey learning the basics of human interaction, progress happens one gentle step at a time.
And then there’s Baby Benjamin, our feisty young donkey who stole the show at a nativity parade. From auction rescue to public appearances, his confidence is growing by the day.
Always Learning, Always Advocating
Even after the cameras stop rolling, the work continues. Jason is busy creating an upcoming guide on how to spot a fake horse rescue, sharing lessons learned from nearly two decades in equine rescue to help protect horses everywhere.
Every shelter built, every horse trained, every adoption finalized—this is what rescue looks like.
