It’s another action-packed week here at Horse Plus Humane Society and we are bursting with excitement! From high-tech medical upgrades to some of the most heartwarming adoptions we’ve ever seen, the energy at the shelter is off the charts.

Cutting-Edge Care for Sapphire & Chip
Our medical team has been working overtime! Sapphire, the brave mare who survived a trailer floor collapse is showing great progress. We’ve been using hydrotherapy and Phobia light treatment to speed up her healing.
Speaking of tech, we have a massive “Thank You” to send out to our supporter, Connie, and an eagle-eyed follower named Tina! Thanks to their generosity, we’ve secured a new ultrasound machine. This is a total game-changer, allowing our vets to see deep into tendons and hearts, giving every rescue a much clearer path to recovery.
A heartfelt thank you to Connie and Tina for their incredible generosity, your support is helping expand lifesaving care and giving more animals the second chance they deserve!
The “Blind Horse” Connection
This might be our favorite story of the week. An adopter named Taylor came out to find a new partner and fell head over heels for Aragon. But the magic didn’t stop there!
Her friend Suzanna, a legendary rescue advocate came along for “moral support” and ended up leaving with Jay and Val, two of our special blind horses. Seeing these resilient beauties find a home where they are truly understood is why we do what we do!
Groundbreaking & Training Games
Things are physically changing around here, too!
We officially broke ground on our new obstacle course project! We’re digging out a water feature and building a “pyramid” to help our horses gain confidence and skill.
Our friends Hailey and Caleb flew all the way back from Arizona to help us! They’ve teamed up with Kory to start an intensive 30-day training program for horses like Clementine, Mercy and Sprite to help them become “adoption-ready” superstars.
Happy Trails to Spartan & Jazzy Belle
The adoptions just kept rolling! Spartan, a big sweetheart who has been waiting patiently, was officially adopted by Kory’s brother.
Plus, a local therapeutic riding program visited us and found their perfect match in Jazzy Belle. She’s going to do amazing work helping children learn to ride!
