The Buy-Out program is a critical lifeline for horses, rescuing them from the distressing slaughter pipeline. By intervening before these animals face an auction, we can prevent their sale for slaughter, extending our help to horses from the public, as well as those from horse traders. The Buy-Out not only safeguards horses from daunting auctions but does so at a cost typically lower than rescue organizations would incur at auctions. And there's no need to fret about horse traders or Kill Buyers inflating the price to squander donor funds. The program also prevents auction houses from profiting off these transactions, providing a compassionate alternative to auctions. Donations go directly to aiding horses, ensuring they're diverted from the slaughter pipeline, without a penny being wasted on auction house commissions.
