Changes in the Saddle
We’re facing some big staff transitions as we say a fond farewell to Rebekah and David. While change is never easy (especially in the middle of nowhere!), it’s opening a new door for Caitlyn.
She’s stepping out of the barn and into the front office to train as our new receptionist. With her bubbly personality, we know she’s going to be the perfect first face you see when you visit!
A Forever Home for Cosmos
Nothing cures the “moving blues” like a successful adoption! Our sweet boy Cosmos officially found his person. Watching him jump right into their truck, ready for his new life reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Happy trails, Cosmos!
The Legend of “Big Red”
Our faithful truck, Big Red, has hit a bit of a snag. After years of hauling hay and rescuing horses, he’s decided to take an unscheduled vacation at the dealership.
With a big auction coming up next week, we’re crossing our fingers the mechanics can work their magic. We need Big Red back on the road to keep saving lives!
Teamwork Saves Lives
Collaboration continues to play a huge role in rescue efforts. A partner organization arrives for a horse transfer, bringing new horses in while giving others a chance at new beginnings.
Each move is carefully planned, ensuring every animal travels safely and comfortably.
A Second Chance for Thunder
When Thunder arrives, his story stands out. After years with his owners and the loss of an eye, they choose a compassionate path, bringing him to the shelter instead of sending him to auction.
It’s a decision rooted in care, giving him the dignity he deserves in his later years.
Joy & Ginger’s Fresh Start
Another chapter closes on a high note as Joy and Ginger head to their new home. With ongoing care planned and a companion by Ginger’s side, her future looks bright. These are the moments that make every challenge worthwhile.

Amid everything, the team celebrates reaching 100,000 subscribers. This milestone represents a growing community of supporters who believe in the mission and help share these important stories far and wide.
As preparations begin for the 20th anniversary open house and concert, the shelter reflects on how far it has come. Through change, challenges and countless rescues, one thing remains constant: the commitment to protecting and caring for animals in need.
