We cannot thank each and every one of you enough who donated to make the auction rescue possible. We were able to rescue 19 horses, minis, a donkey and a mule last night during the sale. Then, this morning while our rescue team was taking pictures of all of the horses we rescued at the auction, a kill buyer was loading a trailer full of donkeys and they were able to save 2 precious donkeys right off of the kill trailer! In total, we saved 21 precious lives, and we were only able to do that because of many horse heroes just like you who donated to save lives.
All of the animals were transported to our shelter safely. Our veterinarian evaluated each of the animals, did lots of gelding operations, dental work, xrays and examinations. Each of the horses was given deworming, vaccinations, electrolytes, everything they needed, they received. Sadly two of them were rescued in such terrible condition that the kindest, only humane option, to do for them was to give them the Last Act of Kindness. We are so thankful we were able to rescue them and give them love, compassion and let them know that not all humans are terrible.

Last night these horses were being auctioned off in the slaughter pipeline. Now, thanks to your support, they are enjoying a beautiful evening in our quarantine pasture, safe, loved, cared for. You made that difference.
