The auction is over and with your help and support, we were able to rescue 29 horses! We are so thankful to all our amazing donors who made this auction rescue mission possible. Your donations made a huge impact on all 29 precious lives and because of all the awesome Horse Heros they can have a Merry Christmas!
We want to say a huge thank you to each and every person who donated to save these horses from going to slaughter. Some of the horses are in really poor condition and we are worried for their long term prognosis, but we are so happy they are not on a truck to Mexico to be slaughtered.
Our rescue team will be catching a few hours of sleep before driving back to the auction first thing in the morning. When we get there we will locate all the horses we were able to rescue, load them up onto our trailer and transport them to our shelter.
Immediately after arriving at our shelter they will be individually evaluated by our veterinarian and given all the care that they need. Merry Christmas from Horse Plus Humane Society and these 29 precious horses we just rescued. We can’t wait to get them back to the shelter and give them the care that they need.
