A Visionary Twist for Bow

Meet Bow, an adorable senior pony who came to us seemingly blind in both eyes. We had him scheduled for surgery to remove a painful, enlarged eye but then, a miracle happened.

During his pre-op exam, Dr. Gina and Dr. Lydia discovered a Menace Response. Meaning? Bow can actually see!

Since his swelling is going down and his comfort is up, we’ve hit the brakes on surgery. Instead of losing an eye, Bow got a much-needed dental “spa day” to fix some sharp hooks in his mouth. We’re keeping his vision as long as possible!
The “Plus” in Action: A Massive 33-Animal Seizure

When law enforcement called about an active seizure case in Hickman County, our team geared up for a long night that we won’t soon forget. What started as a report involving just a few animals quickly escalated into a heartbreaking scene of neglect.

Working side-by-side with the Sheriff’s Department, we successfully pulled 33 souls to safety including eighteen dogs, twelve cats, two ferrets and one lucky rabbit. Every single one of them is now safe, fed and finally receiving the love they deserve!

Among the survivors was Athena, a brave girl with a severe neck wound. During her surgery, we discovered the unthinkable: she had been carrying a bullet in her tissue.
We successfully removed it, repaired her wound and she is now resting easy with a full belly and a very bright future.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Even with several staff members away on well-deserved vacations, the team stepped up to keep the ship sailing smoothly! Between the heavy lifting and the fine-tuning, we managed to overhaul our quarantine area by installing a brand-new gate and getting that stubborn, sticky squeeze chute greased and back in action.

We also played chauffeur for some seriously pudgy, adorable puppies and kittens, transferring them to our wonderful partners at Love at First Sight and True Rescue to fast-track their journey to forever homes.

On top of all that, we stayed on top of the essentials, knocking out vaccines, microchips and Coggin’s testing for all our quarantine residents to ensure everyone is healthy and ready for their next chapter.
We Can’t Do This Without You

Being on the front lines means seeing things that break our hearts but your support allows us to fix them. Whether it’s a horse needing dental work or a ferret rescued from a boarded-up house, every animal deserves a second chance.
