Comfort for Storm

The episode opened with farrier work for Storm, a gentle mare dealing with very sensitive feet. To help her move comfortably into training and toward an adoptive home, the team applied a VetTech Equi-Pak CS pour-in pad. This antimicrobial and antifungal pad molds to the hoof and provides custom support and protection, allowing Storm to walk pain-free and confidently begin her next chapter.
Buddy Returns Safely

A difficult moment this week came when Buddy returned to the shelter. His adoptive family realized he was not fitting safely into their herd and chose to bring him back.
Because the organization has a first right of refusal policy, Buddy had a guaranteed safe place to return to. This policy protects both horses and adopters and ensures that no horse ends up in a dangerous situation if an adoption does not work out.
Wisconsin Trip for Horse Rescue Heroes

The team traveled to Wisconsin for the final filming of the new Horse Rescue Heroes season. They visited PonyTails Horse Rescue, one of the first recipients of the Full Circle of Life Grant made possible by a longtime supporter’s estate gift.
The most exciting details of the visit will appear in the TV episode, so the team kept the cameras off for now.
Two Horses Head to New Homes

Cozzie and Apollo were transported to partner rescue Grazing Grace, where loving homes are already lined up for them.
Community Q and A

The team answered two big questions:
• Yes, international adoptions are possible.
• The next auction rescue is scheduled for November 17, with donations deciding how many horses can be saved.
Vet Checks and Tender Care

This episode also shared the realities that many horses face before arriving at the shelter.
One woman dealing with overwhelming personal struggles made the painful decision to surrender her horse so he could receive care she could no longer provide. Her love and responsibility ensured he ended up in a safe place.

Doc visited the shelter to examine donated salt blocks, check on Mercy’s swollen neck, and care for little Pippin. Pippin has been under the weather for several days, and the team is giving him medication and close monitoring. Everyone is hopeful he will soon be back to his cheerful self.
