Everyone meet Leo. Leo is an amazing mini that we rescued in March at an auction. When we met him he was so skinny and scared of everything. His right eye was injured and he didn’t know what was happening. After arriving at the shelter the vet said that Leo’s eye needed to be removed. The vet thought it would be better to let him settle and recover from the stress of being at the auction first.
After Leo had settled for a couple of weeks the vet was able to remove his eye. This would help it heal properly and the infection would go away.
Leo recovered amazing and we are excited to say that he has been adopted at one of our big adoption events! He is spoiled rotten and getting the care that he deserves.
He is doing and looking amazing! He has gained weight and is trusting people more and more each day. It’s hard to believe that this spring he was a scared emaciated miniature horse with a very injured eye dumped at an auction, with no positive future if we hadn’t saved his life. Now he is love and cherished, but we could only make that happen because of people just like you donating to our auction rescue fund.
