It has been a very busy two days here at Horse Plus! Our rescue team headed to the auction Tuesday morning to save as many precious lives as possible, and thanks to your generous support, we were able to save 22 horses and minis from the slaughter pipeline! The auction was extremely busy and our rescue team didn’t get done until about 1:00 am this morning and then were back up and at it again first thing when the sun was up. All of the horses arrived safely at our shelter where our veterinarian, farrier and intake team were waiting t0 make sure every horse got exactly what they needed. There were 3 horses that desperately needed the Last Act of Kindness, including the horse that was severely foundered and barely able to walk. We are thankful that they are no longer suffering.
