Happy Thanksgiving from Horse Plus Humane Society! We have so much to be thankful for here, it’s indescribable. Horse Plus has been blessed so much this year. We have been able to continue to improve our facility and have rescued so many horses from dire situations. One of those horses we rescued this year was Stormy, seen here with our founders Tawnee and Jason Preisner.
We rescued Stormy from an auction back in July. He was emaciated and very scared of people. We didn’t know for sure he was going to make it, but there was always a spark of life in his eyes, and the will to live. We are so absolutely thrilled that this week Stormy was adopted into an incredibly loving home. We couldn’t be happier for him!
Stormy’s new home is absolutely gorgeous! These pictures were taken in the summer, but he has over 40 acres to roam with new friends and a beautiful barn to call home. Stormy has found his forever home.
Each year we rescue and shelter hundreds of horses just like Stormy, and we are especially thankful for YOU! If it wasn’t for people just like you, we wouldn’t be able to save horses and give them a second chance at life. We are not government funded and we rely 100% on donations from individuals just like you.
Tuesday December 3rd is Giving Tuesday, which starts at 7:00 AM Central Time. Facebook will be matching dollar for dollar every donation to eligible nonprofits, up to the first $7,00,000 total, through their giving platform. Last year your outpouring of support was absolutely amazing, and we hope that this year is even better. The donations are matched on a first donates basis, so please plan on making your donation promptly after 7:00 am through Facebook. We will be sending out updates of this amazing opportunity.
