From Dawn to Dusk: Preparing Horses for New Beginnings
The day begins bright and early as we prepare to send Light Foot and Flicker home with their new families, exciting moments that mark the culmination of love and dedication.
As more horses like Hendrix and Fanny find their forever homes, the sense of accomplishment is palpable. It is a reminder that each rescued horse is a story of hope rewritten.
Healing Hearts: Medical Miracles in the Making
Not all stories are smooth sailing. Our team faced tough challenges with Miss Sybil, a senior mare battling severe health issues. After a second surgery to address her swollen throat, we remain hopeful for her recovery.
Our veterinarian worked tirelessly to diagnose and treat a mysterious injury in Miss Sybil, carefully navigating delicate blood vessels and scar tissue. Her resilience inspires us all, and we are committed to giving her every possible chance at wellness.
Adventures and New Trails: First Rides and New Experiences
Every new ride is a milestone. We celebrated Godiva’s very first trail ride, calm, confident, and ready to explore the outdoors. Watching her embrace the trail with such poise reminds us why we do this work: to see horses and humans grow together in trust and joy.
Building Infrastructure: Water, Hay, and Home
Summer’s sweltering heat makes access to water more important than ever. We’re working with a plumber to install automatic water systems, so our horses stay hydrated and healthy all year long.
Thanks to a generous $5,000 donation, we were able to bring in a semi-load of hay, providing nourishment through the winter and reminding us just how powerful community support can be in making miracles happen.
Heroes in Action: Celebrating Our Community and Rescues
Thanks to our supporters, we are not just caring for horses, we are building a community. Through our new Facebook supporter program, donors receive exclusive behind-the-scenes updates and become part of our mission every month. Your generosity translates directly into better care, more rescues, and brighter futures.
This week has been unforgettable. From surgeries to trail rides, from medical breakthroughs to heartfelt adoptions, we celebrated 18 horses heading home to loving families, with many more still waiting for their turn to find happiness. Every horse adopted and every life saved is a testament to the power of compassion.
