The Horse Shelter Heroes went to a Big Lick Tennessee Walking Horse Show to protest the abuse of horses in stacks and chains who were burned with chemicals to achieve an artificial look. At the shelter evaluated horses, the vet treated a horse with an eye issue, adoption applications were approved, farrier work was done, and a special boy was looking to adopt a very special horse. It’s all in this latest episode and a lot more! Watch it on Youtube or Facebook
Help Save Horses!

So far this month we have currently raised enough funds to rescue and care for 3 horses from auction. Please donate to our auction rescue fund so we can rescue more horses from being shipped to slaughter. Every week hundreds of horses are sold at auction and then exported across the Mexico border for slaughter. We don’t know how many horses will be at the auction or what their stories will be, but what we do know is that every horse there is precious, every horse that will be there deserves a second chance. With your help, we can give horses in the slaughter pipeline a second chance. We will rescue as many horses as we can, we will have our intake team and veterinarian ready to examine and care for each horse we rescue. If a horse is suffering and needs the Last Act of Kindness our veterinarian and staff will be there to let the horse know that there was somebody there at the end that loved and cared about them. If a horse needs rehab and training to become adoptable, our veterinarian, farrier, and trainers will be able to make a plan for each horse according to its needs. With your help, we can make all of this possible for horses who would not have hope without us. Give Now!
