The entire shelter staff is excited that for the first time in Horse Plus Humane Society’s history, it has purchased it’s own rescue truck with a very exciting attachment on the back! Also in this episode, Jason’s mom almost died from Covid-19, but despite the near personal tragedy, the Horse Shelter Heroes continued rescuing, training, rehabilitating and sheltering horses. Slaughter Auction Rescue
It’s time for you to become a Horse Rescue Hero! We will be going to an auction Tuesday and we need your help to rescue horses out of the slaughter pipeline. With support from people like you, we are able to rescue horses at auctions saving them from being exported into Mexico to be killed In a slaughterhouse for human consumption. You can change the world for horses rescued out of the slaughter pipeline. Once the horses arrive at our shelter they are individually evaluated by our veterinarian and intake team to determine what is the best plan for each horse: adoption, rehab, training, or the Last Act of Kindness.
