Premiering the new series – Horse Adopter Heroes!
Amy adopted Super Cooper in 2018, a sad little horse that no one else wanted, but she saw the potential in him.

He is now a ribbon winning show horse with multiple wins, and is the love of his mom’s life! Cooper was surrendered to Horse Plus Humane Society, and we were able to find him such an amazing home with Amy. This year (2020), Super Cooper qualified for the USEA American Eventing Championships, which is the annual national championships where hundreds of juniors, adult amateurs and professionals (including Olympic riders) travel across the nation to participate. All of this would not have been possible without the support of people just like you donating to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt into amazing homes horses just like Super Cooper. Casting Call for Adopted Horses!
Now is your opportunity to share your horses story and your adoption journey with the world. Whether your horse has become your trusted companion or is winning all the ribbons at the shows, we want to tell your stories and help encourage others to adopt a rescued horse.

Email us at info@horsehumane.org and tell us why you believe your adopted horse should be chosen to be selected for an episode of Horse Adopter Heroes. Be sure to include at least three pictures (and/or links to videos) of your horse, your horse’s name, when it was adopted from our organization and some highlights that make you and your adopted horse a great candidate for this show!

Neptune’s Story!
We rescued Neptune from an auction last month, he was a sad horse who was very unsure of his future. You could see the fear in his eyes.

Thanks to support from horse lovers just like you, we were able to rescue Neptune out of the slaughter pipeline. If it wasn’t for support to save him, he could have been just another number on the USDA’s slaughter export report. It’s amazing what a difference care, love and kindness can make in such a short time.

We were able to rescue Neptune because of people just like you making a donation to help transform the life of a horse. We rescue horses regardless of their condition, even if they need the Last Act of Kindness. After they are rescued out of the slaughter pipeline they are individually evaluated by our veterinarian and intake team to determine what is the best plan for each horse: adoption, rehab, training, or the Last Act of Kindness. Please be a horse rescue hero and support our mission of saving horses by making a donation. Help us as we try to keep horses from being exported into Mexico for slaughter. Give Now!
