Please help us save horses from the slaughter pipeline and being shipped to Mexico to be slaughtered for human consumption. We will be going to an auction tomorrow to save as many horses as we can, our goal is 15 and with your help we know we can reach that goal! We cannot save precious lives without the financial support of people just like you donating to our auction rescue fund. When we are at the auction tomorrow we will be sending out an email to keep you up-to-date on what’s happening at the auction and what we are seeing. We don’t know for sure how many horses will be there, but there are usually 100 horses sold to the highest bidder at this auction.
We rescue every horse we can, regardless of their condition. Some horses are in such critical condition that they need the Last Act of Kindness to relieve their horrendous suffering. Their owner should have done the right thing a long time ago and given them humane euthanasia, but instead they dumped them at auction just to get a few hundred dollars off of their poor suffering horse. We rescue these horses just to give them love, compassion, and the the Last Act of Kindness. After they are rescued out of the slaughter pipeline, all of the horses are individually evaluated by our veterinarian and intake team to determine what is the best plan for each horse: adoption, rehab, training, or the Last Act of Kindness. The daily USDA horse slaughter export reports do not lie, nearly every day dozens and hundreds of horses are shipped across the border into Mexico for slaughter.
