Our rescue team is currently at the auction, and they are a little sad tonight. There’s something hard about seeing so many horses and other animals waiting to be sold to the highest bidder, knowing that they cannot save them all, knowing that they will have to stop bidding, even though the kill buyers keep bidding until the last horse goes through. There are a lot of donkeys, minis, and ponies tonight. Our rescue team is sad knowing that the little ones, even though they will not bring as much profit to the kill buyers as bigger horses, will still be purchased, loaded onto big trailers, and shipped to Mexico if they’re not rescued.
